Loni Moger bio
When asked why Loni Moger likes to play music in an intimate setting like a house concert, he replied, “Music can be transformative, and a house concert is a great place to connect in ways large venues do not have.” He first fell in love with music as a small child while dancing to Elvis with his aunt. Listening to the BB King album ‘Live at Ole Miss’ as a teenager, drew him to the guitar. When given the opportunity to perform with Russel Jackson, the bass player on that album, he said, “It was like floating above the stage, watching myself play.” His style is acoustic, funky, and bluesy, as blues and jazz are some of his biggest influences. It’s as if James Taylor played guitar like the offspring of BB King and Joe Satriani. With just one guitar and a fantastic voice, he sounds like a whole band. Aside from constantly performing and practicing, Loni has also successfully created fire without matches and voluntarily swam 100 meters across a frozen lake while wearing wool clothing. He is drawn to the outdoors and loves to find inspiration in long walks. Although Loni has performed with many people and in many styles, he is currently focusing on a solo expression. “It’s like I’m a brand-new artist,” he said when asked about this exciting, new path. While Loni has recorded an Ep collection of six songs, he plans on recording a full album and is currently booking a tour of house concerts. |
